This powerful smoothie combines berries and greens with the added health benefits of turmeric and flax meal.

Antioxadant Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1½ cup (360 ml) pomegranate juice
  • ½ avocado, pitted, peeled
  • 4 dates, pitted
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 2 Tablespoons flax meal
  • 4 cups (115 g) baby spinach
  • 4 cups (190 g) romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup (145 g) frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup (140 g) frozen strawberries

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
  2. Select Variable 1.
  3. Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
  4. Blend for 35-40 seconds or until mixture is smooth.
